William Saunders

Senior Partner

William Saunders is a fellow member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Bill is the founder member of W P Saunders and Company. He has over 30 years of financial experience in Zambia. In addition he has experience in the Tourism, Construction and Agriculture Sectors.

Douglas Ironside

Managing Partner

Douglas Ironside joined BDO Spencer Steward Zambia in 2001, following 10 years with the international conglomerate Lonrho Africa Plc in Zambia.

Douglas is a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He brings to the Firm many years of experience in the financial sector in Zambia with extensive exposure to the motor industry, property, construction, hotel and tourism sectors.

Godsave Nhekede

Godsave is a Fellow of ACCA and ZICA with more than 13 years audit and financial management experience gained in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Godsave has been involved in the audit of a number of organisations ranging from Energy and Natural Resources, Financial Services Organisations, Non Profit Making Organisations, Quasi government organisations, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Information Technology Clients. He has audited a number of Public Listed Companies some of which had dual listing.

Godsave was a committee member for ACCA Zimbabwe for over three years. He also served as the President of ACCA Zimbabwe for one term before relocating to Zambia.

Having been in industry as Finance Manager, Godsave understands the importance of providing practical and relevant recommendations to our clients and communicating effectively at all levels. Godsave served as a finance manager for one of largest packaging manufacturers in Zimbabwe.

Godsave joined BDO from KPMG in June 2012. He was with KPMG for six years. He is happy to be part of the BDO family and he commits to provide sound and timely advice to BDO clients.

Moses Simbeye

Managing Director—Corporate Services

Moses Simbeye is the Managing Director of our Corporate Services division.

He has a certificate in accounting, an AAT Diploma, ACCA/CAT Diploma and is currently pursuing the final professional stage of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accounts of the United Kingdom. He has been with the firm since 1997 when it was first incorporated. Moses is responsible for immigration permits, investment permits, trading and other licenses and is our Pastel accounting specialist, having been trained in South Africa by Pastel.

He also undertakes management accounting for a number of clients and preparing business plans to support loan and leasing applications by clients.

Deborah Nonde

Tax Director—Compliance Services

Deborah Nonde has vast local and foreign tax experience of both individuals and corporate bodies. As an experienced Tax Director she sits on the tax committee of ZICA. Deborah brings the added dimension of her extensive accounting knowledge of the business environment in Zambia to providing practical and achievable business solutions.

Katrina Mabika

Tax Director—Advisory Services

Katrina Mabika is an experienced professional and an expert in both Zambian and international tax legislation. She was previously a Senior Tax Manager at Deloitte in Lusaka before establishing her own tax consulting business in September 2002. Prior to that she gained many years of valuable experience in the field of taxation in the UK where she has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax (UK) since May 1990. Katrina brings her wealth of tax knowledge to provide comprehensive services to suit client's needs.
